Steve Illing is a professional Daniel Craig lookalike covering London and Europe. With his closely cropped hair and steely blue eyes, this James Bond double bears an uncanny resemblance. He not only looks good in a dinner jacket (he can tie his own bow too!) but also sports Bond’s cool demeanour and high tech gadgetry! Steve does admit that he his still working on making the Aston Martin car a reality. Born in London, Steve received numerous comments regarding his similarity to Bond even before Daniel starred in Casino Royale in 2006.
Since then Steve’s doubling work has taken him all over Europe on various assignments; be they functions, parties or James Bond promotional work. In fact, he even had a stint in an exclusive London bar making the very same vodka Martini’s that the spy enjoys! He does stress though that he wasn’t the double chosen for the famous parachute jump over the London Olympic arena in August 2012; he leaves that to the stunt men!
