80s tribute band, Planet 80, is an experienced five piece (plus sound engineer) 80s band playing tribute to the great music of the 80s.
Formed specifically for the corporate/private sector with the intention to carry on a tradition of keeping alive the spirit of the 80s, Planet 80 are the perfect choice for any party, event or function.
Within the 80s tribute band group there is vast experience with members having played all over the UK and abroad. They have covered many types of situations and venues from boat parties on the Thames to someone’s front living room – there really is no show too big or too small.
Planet 80 – 80s Tribute Band
Planet 80 cover hits from great artists and bands from the decade such as Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Queen, U2, Simple Minds, Nick Kershaw, Paul Young to name but a few. The usual show format is 2 x 45min sets plus one or two encores.
A full P.A. system with sound engineer is provided within the fee as is stage lighting for the band. Music between sets can be provided which consists of a popular mix of 80s classics stored on laptop and played through the pa system for the guests’ enjoyment.
So order yourself a Tequila Sunrise and prepare to be transported back to a time when hair styles were highly flammable, mobile phones were the size of an average family car and Simon Cowell’s trousers were still in fashion…welcome to Planet 80.
